Oh my goodness, thank you for the shout out for "Forks"! I've been so curious about THE WORST PERSON IN THE WORLD; I've seen some clips, and I'm still flummoxed about Renate Reinsve not receiving a Best Actress Oscar nom for it.

We just started Sunny! A robot, Japan, we were sold. We also like Rashida Jones.

Will look for Worst Person... Subtitles? We have to be in the mood to read. Hehe.

Let me know what you think of Sunny. Maybe we can have a mutual commiseration society on chat!

Yes to subtitles on this film. With our hearing we all watch subtitles anyways in our household 😂

I often need close captioning due to age. 😀

I think I liked Sunny more than hubby. We have a 3 episode rule. We will continue to watch. I'm curious as to what will happen next.

That’s too bad that Sunny was so meh. I was/am looking forward to it. I have a mad crush on Rashida Jones and will still argue she (Karen) was a more exciting match for Jim on The Office.

Haven’t seen The Worst Person in the World yet, but will seek it out now.

And I’m 3 eps into The Bear and I’m not sure I’ll make it to the end. It really is so navel gazing and repeats themes and entire scenes over and over. I’ll probably finish it though as I’m a completist.

Steve, I have a mad crush on Rashida Jones. She’s like the female crush that’s an acceptable choice for men and women equally. Like I respond to my husband, “Of course you like her. I do too!” Open and common acknowledgment and respect here.

I didn’t love her Office character for Jim because it was a loyal shipper of the Jim and Pam romance but I personally related to her personality a whole heck of a lot more.

Too bad on “The Bear” / Should I just skip!?

I remember seeing this film somewhere and wondering if I should watch it. Today I’m going for an advanced screening of Sing Sing and I’m so excited to see it.

Also the trailer for We Live in Time came out. I found out it’s screening at TIFF and now I’m praying I get tickets. Florence Pugh is so good!

I’m aching to see the new Florence Pugh/Andrew Garfield film. I can’t wait to hear if you get the tix!

I'm finding it a challenge not to overlay the US political situation onto everything I see. Hopefully, someone is developing meds for this.

I’m hopeful our coping mechanisms will help us through this. It’s certainly a test for all

Currently not watching anything and barely reading. I stare at walls.

Staring at work and walls. Walls and work.

Yes exactly, I loved the main character, such a good actress, I thought the relationship was great and handled the age gap thing beautifully, as it should be because really who cares about it. I just wanted a humdinger of a scream out of her to her parents and brother for their ridiculous socio conservative attitudes which are not typically Norwegian

Home for Christmas, I mean what the hell was wrong with her sociopathic family!!!

I so loved her though. She was infectious and the young actor guy/love interest story was so beautiful. Better than a lot of the stuff being manufactured in the younger guy/"older" woman category if he was a little too young when it started.

I saw the Norwegian movie and I found it very meh. I was so disappointed because I’ve watched various Norwegian movies and shows that were very good. She just totally bored me and really I think she bored herself, that was her problem!! Watch Christmas as Usual for a laugh( a Norwegian laugh which is definitely quieter than an Irish one)

Also yes you’re right - she bored herself and is a little but this is the restless discomfort of being that age too (at least via looking back at that phase of life)

Thanks for this Larissa.

I need to check out this movie. I mistook it for this Norwegian series - Home for Christmas - on Netflix which was fabulous!!!
