Only skimmed the Holdovers part (cause I want to see it), but appreciated the "avoid" list at the end. I think falling asleep and waking up 30-60 minutes later not feeling like you missed anything is a perfect test for a crap movie. I use that method regularly.

BTW, finished Theater Camp. Very fun. Molly Gordon is a real talent! I wish they did more with Ayo Edebiri's character, but the musical finale was worth any gaps in plot and character.

I'm glad you enjoyed my "DON'T WATCH" because if I can do a service for others in the limiting down of endless TV choices that's a huge win for BEVP (and me).

I'm loving Fargo S5 btw and look forward to writing that one up too. It's dense (heavy subject matter - and qualifying this to say above and beyond the standard violence and murder fare inherent in the series) but also is anchored in its signature quirky humor and Midwestern no-nonsense tone.

Watched this last night and loved it. I saw "Sideways" years ago, but have just ordered it from the library. It needs rewatching. I saved this post during the film to read afterwards, and I'm glad I didn't read the plot (not often I do that with film, usually I'm checking what Wikipedia has to say, but I wish I had known earlier about the relevance of The Chateau. I did recognise city scenes though, particularly the graveyard. We stayed at the Holiday Inn opposite TG Gardens (is it still called that?!) many moons ago.

That’s so cool. I enjoyed this film too! I’ve debated rewatching it and likely will at some point. Thanks for sharing. The Chateau was a staple for us for so many years. I think I know the hotel you mean.
