Okay, you convinced me. You had told me about it after season 1 and I was skeptical, but now I'm legit excited. The only problem is my Roku TV decided to die. Or take a long nap. I haven't been able to watch anything for 3 days. Been on YouTube and the interwebs trying to trouble shoot. Might have to get a new boob tube. Maybe it's the universe telling me to read more books.
Yeah, we watched the latest episode of The Jinx (season 2) last night on my laptop. But I don't want to make a habit of it. It's not ideal for reading subtitles (my dog is loud).
That is a nice recommendation. I had skipped this post because I don't have streaming (I watch TV/movies on DVD), and I figured this wouldn't be available, but now I'm interested to watch it.
The song served as the inspo for the novel by M.O. Walsh from which the show is adapted. I love this kernel of background. Makes the viewing richer. The show diverges (as I've read) in some ways from the novel, but I like to think the spirit of it is intact.
Per a quote from the article:
"The more I started thinking about it, I was like, ‘My God, I’m trying to write a 300-page John Prine song,'" Walsh said. "If I succeed here, hopefully it gives people the same feeling a John Prine song gives me."

Or alternative electronic sources / laptop? iPad?

Side note: Do you know if the title is a reference to the John Prine/Iris DeMent song? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-YzlbgEOOA
Also maybe start with the novel? Or a free trial and binge like crazy
Good idea; I'll check the novel out of the library and see if I get to it or not.
Nick! You are a genius. Yes, take a look at this: https://www.columbiatribune.com/story/entertainment/books/2022/09/04/small-details-big-questions-come-together-m-o-walshs-one-read-novel/7898007001/

That is a fantastic quote.
(the pedantic part of my brain says that I should write "fantastic quotation" but that doesn't look right).
I am SO GLAD you wrote about this show! Not enough people are talking about it.
Thanks Rob and agreed!
I love this show so much, and I’m glad more people are talking about it!
Thanks Ronnie! Agreed. I can’t wait to see how season 2 ends and yes more people need to talk about it. Here’s to a season 3!
