I thought it worked visually, but after the speedy marriage, the speedy pregnancy felt like they were trying to squeeze in a lot of "life" in one season.
It’s an interesting topic you broach about time jumps. The “hurry up and get married” was too fast. I could easily have seen the narrative of New Orleans wedding being a penultimate episode with an “8 months later” pregnancy delivery being the finale. In an alternate fan-fiction timeline universe, I’d very much want to see how that arc played itself out.
