Here, we celebrate THE ALT GOLDEN GLOBES AWARDS (dubbed: The Feel Good About the Quality Films & TV You Watched in 2024).

Thank you to all of you who participated in and supported the 2024 Best in TV & Film Substack Awards.

This may look clickable but it’s not. That’s intentional. Keep reading.

Some Exposition

These awards were a culmination of our desire to see quality shows and films celebrated - ones that made us FEEL (laugh, cry, shout) and THINK (crime, anyone?). And some categories we couldn’t resist (e.g. quirky shows with heart, best platonic couple).

• We LOVED Somebody Somewhere pretty unanimously. This tracks with anyone who is going to be interested in my work.

• Sing Sing was a beloved film and The Diplomat’s fandom had their day.

• The write-ins were probably one of my favorite parts. Hearing what YOU all had to say about other film and TV performances (Eddie Redmayne fans had their day). On a personal note, I also enjoyed trying to guess who was saying what. Since I feel that I know many of you who likely responded, I found myself guessing out loud.
